Pets, children and partners involvement

Pets, children and people's partners often accompany members to Folk.us events, making the events feel warmly inclusive. We'd like to hear more about how and why this works so well, and why others do and don't do it.

What a nice thought. It works perhaps because it is about seeing people as whole, situated within their real lives and it doesn't pretend people dont have families, friends and emotions as the 'professional' world often does. It is also about access -bringing others you care for or who care for you is often the only way you can get to go things, or want to.
